Finance Director

James joined LNER as Finance Director in July 2020 looking after the operator’s Finance, Procurement, Compliance, Internal Audit and IT teams. Prior to working with LNER James has worked within the UK rail industry since 2007, including roles as Head of Finance at Northern, and Finance Director at both ScotRail and Merseyrail. Prior to joining the Railways, James trained as a Chartered Accountant at a small firm in Oxfordshire before spending 4 years working for Deloitte in their Leeds office. Outside of work, James enjoys reading, watching sport and spending time with his 2 boys.
